Write to the desk

One inbox, read by the people who write the pages. No form, no mailing list, no health details please.

The address

Email [email protected]. That is the whole contact method: there is no form on this site, and there never will be one.

Two reasons. A form that posts nowhere is worse than no form, and a form that collects details about your teeth would be collecting health data we have no business holding.

What we are useful for

  • Corrections. A price that has moved, a quotation we got wrong, a source that has gone dead. Send the link if you have it; we will fix the page and date the fix.
  • Sources. If you want to know where a figure on a page came from, ask. Every one of them is recorded with a URL and a read date.
  • Press and research. Happy to explain method, share what we checked, and say plainly what we could not verify.

What we cannot help with

We cannot answer questions about your teeth. Not "is my case suitable", not "is this quote fair", not "should I stop wearing this tray". Nobody here is qualified, and an answer from us would be worth less than nothing to you.

Please do not send photographs of your mouth, treatment plans, X-rays or anything from a clinic. If you send them we will delete them without opening them, and reply with this paragraph.

If something in your mouth hurts, is swelling, or is bleeding and will not stop, that is not an email — that is a dentist today, or urgent care if you have facial swelling, a fever, or trouble breathing or swallowing.

If you have a complaint about a company

We are not a regulator and cannot intervene. In the United States, your state attorney general's consumer protection office takes complaints about companies, and the FDA takes reports about medical devices. In the United Kingdom, the General Dental Council handles concerns about dental professionals and services that fall within the practice of dentistry.
